Delete your Roz account

Roz works without an account and your data lives on your phone. If you have a Roz account, you can delete it together with the data our servers keep: in the app, or here if you no longer have the app. Either way it's deleted immediately.

In the app

  1. Open Roz and go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  2. Enter the 6-digit code we email you.
  3. Your account is deleted instantly.

Never signed up with email or Google? There's no code: confirm in the app and your account is deleted instantly.

No longer have the app? Delete it here

Enter the email address of your Roz account: the one you signed up with, or your Google account's address. We'll email you a 6-digit code. Enter it here and your account and its data are deleted right away.

Never signed up with email or Google? Then your account is anonymous: it isn't linked to an email address, so this page can't find it. Delete it in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account, no code needed), or uninstall Roz: that removes everything on your phone, and nobody can sign in to the anonymous account again.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in sessions.
  • Your email address and Google link (and name).
  • Your remaining credits (they are lost and can't be refunded).
  • Your shared-list memberships, and lists you own entirely.
  • Your referral code and referral history.
  • Your backup key, so backups in your Google Drive can no longer be opened (the app offers to delete them too).
  • Your phones' notification tokens.

What we keep

  • Purchase, credit and rewarded-ad records without any link to your identity, for accounting and tax.
  • One-way hashes of your email or Google account ID and of your install ID, to prevent repeated welcome credits, sign-up and referral rewards.
  • Data on your phone isn't affected: uninstall the app or clear its data to remove it.

Your Google Drive backup

Roz's Google Drive backups are encrypted with a key kept in your account, so once the account is deleted they can't be opened any more. To remove them from your Drive too, open Google Drive on a computer and go to Settings → Manage apps → Roz → Options → Delete hidden app data.

Deleting your account doesn't cancel Roz Plus. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
